Art Teacher
The Art Teacher inspires creativity and artistic expression in students through instruction in visual arts. This role involves teaching various techniques, art history, and design principles while encouraging students to explore their unique artistic voices in a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with curriculum standards and student developmental levels.
- Teach a variety of art techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media.
- Introduce students to art history, diverse cultures, and contemporary artists.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression through hands-on projects.
- Maintain a well-organized, safe, and inclusive classroom and art studio environment.
- Manage art supplies and materials, and oversee cleanup and storage procedures.
- Display student artwork in school exhibitions, bulletin boards, or digital showcases.
- Assess student growth through project evaluation, participation, and effort.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into cross-curricular projects.
- Participate in school activities, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Art Education or Visual Arts.
- Strong knowledge of various art mediums tools, and techniques.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
