Elementary School Teacher

Description

The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational classroom environment for students in grades K-5. This role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with curriculum standards.
  • Teach subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
  • Monitor and assess student performance and progress.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Participate in professional development and school activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
• At least 1 year of teaching or related experience
• Valid Minnesota teaching license

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience teaching elementary school in a standards-based environment
• Experience supporting multilingual learners and diverse student populations
• Knowledge of best practices in literacy instruction, including differentiated and culturally
responsive teaching
•  This position requires a commitment to ensuring all students achieve proficiency in
literacy through standards-aligned instruction, data-driven decision-making, and
preparation for success on state assessments.
